The game can best be described as a mixture of the old Amiga classic 'North and South' and the 'Total War' series. Plays to cavalry and moderately effective infantry, much like Bactria. Weaknesses: -Limited cavalry -Few armoured units -Extremely hard to use. Strengths: ++Stealth based faction ++Great infantry +Pict Units. but the troops could be trusted not to war on Rome or the other allies. Plays off of stealth and ambushing, with 90 of their roster being stealth based. The game combines action oriented real-time battles with turn-based strategy on the campaign map where you raise, supply and move your armies. It did have a connection to Rome through two other tribes however, the Quadi.

I know this painting takes place in the Punic War, Rome vs Carthage. The artist I would assume was hired or works for the Total War company and made this art piece to go along with the game.
